DO I NEED TO BE FILIPINO?
You do not need to be Filipino to join! As the Filipino Student Association at the University of Houston, we pride ourselves in being all-inclusive to all ethnicities and genders. This org has a little bit of something for everyone! Whether you’re looking for a pamilya (family), a team to dance on, a group to play sports with, some photography and design experience, a deeper connection with Filipino roots, or a little bit of everything — you can find it all here at UHFSA!
HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?
STEP 1: Fill out our member form: 2023-2024 Member Form. Here, you can choose to be sorted into a pamilya.
STEP 2: Pay our annual members dues in the STORE section of our website. When paying, use the same name that you used on your member form so that we can match the payment to your submission.
*If you are paying for another member, or if your payment method is under someone else’s name: make sure to email us at officers@uhfsa.com and include your receipt, name used on the member form, and phone number used on the member form.
STEP 3: Wait for a confirmation email from UHFSA.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Once you have filled out the UHFSA member form and your member dues are processed, you are now an official member of UHFSA! You can be for sure by checking to see that you have received a personal FSA ID (a QR code) via the email you have given. Your name will have also appeared on the Member Points Sheet used for checking points for Goodphil eligibility. This QR code will be used as sign-in for attendance at our events, and as an ID for member-only events.
WHEN WILL I BE ADDED TO A PAMILYA?
Pamilyas are formed early in the Fall semester, and your Ate(s) and Kuya(s) should add you to your pamilya chat sometime in early September. If you’re joining UHFSA later in the semester or in the Spring, you will be added at the Ate’s/Kuya’s earliest convenience.
Haven’t been added to a pamilya yet and are a registered member? Be sure to contact us via our email or DM us on Instagram (@uhfsa) and the Pamilya Chair or Secretary will be able to assist you.
